As I prepare for our "fireman" 5th birthday party for Dallas, I can't help but think about last year's party. Dallas' 4th birthday, was a Thomas the Train party, so we had the cake, outfit, and decorations all to match. This was the first gathering we had hosted, since our move to Denton, and we were not real sure how it would go. We invited our family, close friends, and some of the new friends that Dallas had made at his daycare. It was a beautiful day, we had a full house and everyone had a great time. I scrapbooked this page using a great page kit from Lickety Split Scrapbooks. If you like to scrap using page kits or you are looking for something fast, they have a pretty good selections. I bought the kit at the Great American Scrapbook Convention, which I look forward to attending every year. I changed the layout of the page kit, which I do most of the time. The kit as it was did not allow for the number of photos that I wanted to use. I also added the colorful foam stars, the letter stickers, and the journaling pocket. I don't like my handwritting, but think it is important to use it sometimes, so that people will know a little more about me, so I tend to tuck it away or hid my journaling on my layouts.
