I Love, Love, Love this card. There is nothing better than when you have an idea and it comes out better than you pictured it. I wanted a simple, clean card that could be used for Valentines Day, though I think this would make a great anniversary card, or thinking of you card as well. I started with a basic white card, cut the tree with out the leaves using my cricit and the cindy loo cartridge. Then I made the hearts using some scrap paper from my stash and an old creative memories punch, and used them for the leaves. I wanted to show movement, so some of the heart leaves are blowing away, and I put some on foam tape to give some depth. The stamp is from recollections and I really like how it looks hand drawn. There is no way I could actually doodle that neatly :) Materials Used: Cricut: Cindy Loo Paper: Recollections and scraps from my stash Stamp: Recollections Ink: Stampin Up - Rose Red Challenges Entered: Cut it Up - Love is in the air - any Valentines Day project Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes SpeedyTV Simply Salutations - Anything Goes Paper Playtime - Use some brown Go Fish Challenge Blog - I Love You Like what you see? I got this super cute stamp set by Stampendous called Changito Dos. I don't think it is a new stap set, but it's new to me :) It has a couple of monkeys and some vines, and these cute "monkey" sayings. I really fell in love with the "I'm bananas about you!" saying and wanted to use it to make a card. I thought it would be cute as a Valentines card or just to tell someone that you care.
I started by cutting two bananas using my cricut Create A Critter cartridge and used chalk to give them some shading. I also cut the shadow out in brown so that it would pop off the green pattern paper I wanted to use for the background. Next I stamped the saying on a cream color paper and used a circle punch to cut it into a circle. Then I just put it all together. I used some foam tape to pop up one of the bananas to add a little 3D effect :) Materials Used: Paper: Mostely scraps from my stash, Recollections cardstock Cricut: Create A Critter Stamp: Stampendous Changito Dos Ink: Stampin Up - Chocolate Chip Challenges Entered: The Cricut Chirp - Sweet Valentine Paper Playtime - Use Brown Pause Dream Enjoy - Desserts Cut It Up - In with the new Like what you see, visit my Etsy Store I have been in full swing making Valentines cards, and am having so much fun in the process. I had found this stamp set by Recollections at Michaels and knew right away that I wanted to cut out two little birds and put them in a tree. Let me say once I started using my Cindy Loo cartridge, I can't seem to stop, I love it. So, I cut out the frame, tree, and love birds. I had trouble deciding what to use in the background of the frame until I stumbled across this cute sunshine paper by Colorbok in the Sweet Home paper pack. It is perfect. I used my Stampin Up Regal Rose ink to stamp "Love Birds" and finished it off with a peice of scrap ribbon I had with little hearts on it. At this point, I felt that it was pretty cute, but needed something else, so I outlined the frame using a white gel pen (also a new fav tool). I have a sticker that says "Spit Happens" and I thought it was super cute and would make a great card, so I cut bottles using my Doodlecharms cricut cartridge. I inked the edges lightly using some Tim Holtz - tea dye distress ink. I printed out "Spit Happens" using my computer and cut it into a banner. I added a touch of ribbon and some pen work on each bottle just to give it a little something to stand out. I really love how they turned out. Materials Used:

Every year, we take pictures of: Grandma with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids, then we take family group pictures. When I was younger, it was just something we did, but now that I am a little older, I love that we have done this for so many years. I love that I can see how our family has grown and changed over the past 34 years of my life. The problem, these days is that it's hard to get everyone to smile and be still all at the same time....so some of the pictures are a little crazy.
When I made this page I wanted to use the Christmas laser cut that I bought at the Great American Scrapbook Convention back in June in Arlington. So I found the two peices of patern paper, which I love and layed out my pictures. I wanted something that would be able to give some context to each picture group. I cut out 6 snowflakes and used my white gel pen to outline each of them and write in the titles for the pictures. These pictures are from the October 19th, 2012 Quinlan-Ford Homecoming game. The girls did a great job. I love watching this team perform, as it brings back so many memories.
This page was a quick and easy page, I think the whole thing took me 15 total. You can't see it very well in the picture, but I cut down the blue giltter paper by 1/2 in on two edges and backed it with a white peice of cardstock. Then I cut down each of the images, and matted the feature photo. The stars are white glitter stickers, so they went on really quickly. I finished it up with a square ribbon brad, a small peice of ribbon, and the "dance" title (which is also a sticker). I wrote the date, Alexis name, and Belles using a white opaque pen. (I don't usually write on my pages, as I hate my handwritting, but I thought it was important to have some basic info on the page, so I broke down and wrote it.) Very easy, but I love the way it turned out.
