I know I said that I would do better, and blog more often, but LIFE keeps getting in the way. Actually, WORK keeps getting in the way. I did get a chance to do some crafting this morning. I made my dad a card for Father's day. He is actually giving me a great present for Father's day, he is taking my son for the next two weeks, so I can go to our Old Stories, New Voices summer camp. It is a ton of fun, and I know that Dallas will have a wonderful time with his Papa Roger. This was a pretty easy card. I stamped the frog and lily pad using the Stamps of Life Froggy2Love stamp set and the Stamps of Life Artichoke ink. I then cut them out using the coordinating dies. Next, I cut out the front panel using the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Journaling Card die and cut the top using the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble die. I stamped "Hoppy" using the Stamps of Life Froggy2Love set, and the "Father's Day" using the Hero Arts Phrases set (CL498). I ran the speech bubble through my Big Shot, using the Journal Card die as well, so it would have the same stitched border on it. On the card base, I used some green Washi tape from Studio G, then attached the panel on the top. I love how this card turned out, and I really think my Dad is going to love it as well. Plus, I had such a good time playing with all my new stamp and die sets. I had a wonderful time at the Great American Scrapbook Convention yesterday :)
