Every scrapbook deserves a great title page, and when you scrapbook by year, like I do, it is almost a necessity. I discovered this little trick, using index prints, a couple of years ago and have put it to good use in a number of my scrapbooks. To do this, I cut out the numbers “2011” using my cricut, and cut out the index print pictures that I love, leaving no border. Then it is just a matter of filling in the numbers and cutting away the excess pieces of index prints. For a title page, I see this as a quick overview of the year and a good way to show what great things are to come. Materials used: Paper: DCWV, the Metallic Stack in Nightlife Cricut: Sans Serif Fonts Cartridge Index prints: from the entire year of 2011

Macie is the beautiful little girl of my cousin Beau and his wife Tracy. While at our grandmothers house, Easter (2012), I had the chance to snap a few shots of Macie playing in the flowers. Just shows that all great picture that wasn't planned. I knew I wanted to create a scrapbook page to highlight the picture, without taking away from it. The rhinestone and paper flowers and the soft pink Materials used: Paper: Colorbok Rhinestone flower and swirls: Say it with Bling/ Want to Scrap Paper flowers: Michael’s Heart stickers: EK Success Ribbon: Horizon ribbon – Rosy Mauve bordered sheer Chipboard stickers: Silver glitz accent letters by Colorbok I found myself needing a quick birthday card and gift; so, I turn to my scrapbook room for inspiration. Using an unused blank card that I had, I made a quick birthday card; I think it took me 30 minutes total to make both the card and the gift. I cut out all the pieces, using my cricut, which included the bear, the gifts, and the happy birthday title. Then it was as simple as cutting the pattern papers and gluing it all together. Materials used (Card): Paper: Celebrate collection by Jacqueline Addison Bear: Cricut Create a Critter Sticker: Today is your Day - Colorbok My son, wanted to give some of the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies that we made as a gift. This little topper was easy enough to make. I took a piece of 8x8 paper, and folded it in half, and attached a piece of cardstock to the back side of what would end up being the front, just to make it a little more sturdy. Next I attached a piece of cream colored cardstock, the happy birthday title, and the gifts. To finish it off, I put the cookies in a Ziploc bag, and taped the topper on the inside, then folded it over and secured it with a couple of staples, just to make sure it didn’t come off. A cute, simple gift, that only took a few minutes to put together. Materials used (Topper): Paper: Celebrate collection by Jacqueline Addison Title and gifts: Cricut Create a Critter Sometimes just taking a great picture is not enough, I wanted to create a scrapbook page that would showcase at least one of the pictures. I used a 4 x 6 picture of my cousan Alexis, matted it on a peice of cream colored cardstock. I then inked the edges with ink. The paper had the big beautiful flowers, so I just added more, using the paper flowers. I added rhinestones to the centers of each of the paper flowers. To finish the page off, I cut butterflys out of black cardstock in 3 different sizes, bent them in toward the centers to make them look like they are flying, and attached them to the page. Materials used: Paper - Colorbock-Wild Rose Ink - Stampin Up-Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa Butterflys - Cricut-Wall Decor and More Paper Flowers - Michaels Rub on title - Creative Imaginations Alexis is a member of my family, and one of my favoriate subjects to photograph. When I found out about the Fort Worth Water Gardens, I knew we had to make the trip over there to take some pictures. The night before, we drove around Denton, to take a few shots. That's when we found the large Texas Flag, painted on the side of a building. I knew it would make for some great photos. The next day, we drove to the Water Gardens, and it was more than I expected. I can't wait to go back to take some more.
