I am trying to do better updating my blog, so I wanted to share this great Fourth of July scrapbook page with you. This is actually from July 4, 2014, but I am just now getting around to finishing it and getting it posted. I know, I know, I'm a little behind, but hey we all are, right?
I really wanted to use my Lawn Fawn, Wish you were here stamp and die set, but it just wasn't enough. So, I cut out the starts, the firework and the eagle using my cricut (Independence Day and Artbooking cartridges). Then I used my Cricut Explore and the font "Stars From Our Eyes" to cut out the title. I found the font on DaFont.com. I really love that site, now that I have an explore. I really love how this page turned out and I feel that the black and white picture of my son and I really pops off the page. My job has been keeping me really busy the past year. Though I have loved working for TSHA, I am sad to say that my time there is over. The organization moved from Denton to Austin, and it was not a move that I was able to make. So, I am on the hunt for a new job. The good news is that over the past couple of weeks, I have had the time to catch up on some scrapbooking and card making.
I wanted to feature some of the best pictures of my son, at his age 7 photo shoot, which I took way back in October 2014. We went up to the Denton County Courthouse and I feel that we got some really great shots. I had recently got a Photo frame die from the Stamps of Life and was looking for a reason to use it. I also used 3 different pattern papers, the first is a text paper under the 3 images on the left hand side, then the other two are the same pattern, but in different colors. I love that it makes the whole page feel cohesive.
