Little Brooke has been on my mind a lot this week. So, I wanted to share this scrapbook page I did of her and the pictures that I took of her on Easter 2011. You have to know, one of the great things about Brooke, is that she is always dirty. She likes to run with the boys and I think everytime I see her, she needs her face washed. So, for her to be clean for long enough to take some pictures is a near miracle, but that's why we all love her so much! I started this page, by picking the paper. It was this beautiful gray paper, with flowers outlined on the side of it. I knew I wanted to use this paper, but wanted to also match the pink sash that Brooke is wearing in the pictures. So, I colored the flowers using my chalk. I used two different shades of pink to add a bit of shading. Materials Used: Paper: Colorbok - Neturals Pack Paper Flowers & Rhinestone Hearts: Michaels Chipboard "B": Colorbok (I painted it pink to match the layout) Quote: DCWV - Quote Sticker Stack - Girl Chalk by the Stencil Collection

We wanted to take Dallas somewhere that he would really love, for this years family vacation. We decided that San Antonio would be the perfect place for a 4 year old. We visited the Alamo, cruised down the riverwalk, played in the hotel pool, ordered room service, and visited Sea World. At Sea World, we saw Shamu, saw the diver and dolphin show, and the sea lion and otter show. Dallas was excited and completely worn out by the end of the day. It ended up being a perfect family vacation. When we got home, I couldn't wait to scrapbook these pictures. I wanted to do one layout that would cover all parts of the trip. I made a small pocket out of the side of the page to keep all our ticket stubs and reciepts. Then I wanted to make the page look like a whale was jumping into the pictures, but I didn't have the right cricut to make the cut, so I used the fish cut from the Animal Kingdom cartridge and only used the bottom part. I also cut waves out using the pirate border from Wall Decor and More. Materials Used: Paper: Colorbok - earth tones pattern paper pack Cricut: Animal Kingdom and Wall Decor and More Black Rhinestones: Michaels I also made a 8 x 8 scrapbook of our trip using Shutterfly.

I have been dancing for 24 years, 2/3 of my existence. As I get older, dancing has become a challenge. Time to dedicate to the sport, my flexibility, and the drive that I one had, has all faded. Don’t get me wrong, I still love to dance, and I love to watch dance, I have just come to the conclusion that I can’t be as actively involved in dance that I one was.
This scrapbook page is my memorial to my time as a dancer. The pictures were taken the last time I danced on stage. The Blue Belle Alumni performed at the 2011 spring show. We had a great time, leaping, kicking, and dancing. The cake, of course! I had so much fun taking pictures of Matthew eating his birthday cake and opening presents. He is the cutest thing, with his amazing dimples. Enjoy the best of the birthday party!!!
I took this adorable picture of my son, Dallas and his cousin’s, Ryan and Rylie at Thanksgiving 2011. It is pretty rare that I am able to get a great picture of the three of them, as someone is always making a funny face or acting silly. I love this picture because, to me, it shows how much they love spending time with each other. I was really afraid when we moved to Denton, which is about two hours away from the rest of our family, that my son would lose all the great chances to make memories with his cousins. I was lucky and am really close to my cousins and want that for him as well. Moving hasn’t seemed to change anything, except the excitement in their eyes when they see each other. This page uses clear accents. I love the blue glitter paper, but couldn’t really find another piece of cardstock or pattern paper that looked right. So, I thought, why fight it, use something clear. The heart brads, were originally pink, so I colored them with a black paint marker. The page really came together. The focus is still on the kids and the joy of being together.
