These pictures take me back....oh, about 4 years. I took these in 2008, when my son, Dallas, was only a year old. He loved to kick the piles of leaves in the yard, so one day I gave in and let him roll around in them. He couldn't even walk yet, but had the best time.
I am entering my scrapbook page in the Cricut Fanatics Cricut Crafty Challenge #3. The goal, was to create a project, using the picture as inspiration, using the color orange, and at least one cricut cut.
For my scrapbook page, I cut out, what seemed like a thousand fall leaves, using the Cricut cartridge, Doodlecharms. The background paper is from Colorbok's Earthtones paper pack, and quote is a rub-on (sorry I don't know who the maker is, I haven't always been as good as keeping up with product makers). I used 4 differnt colors for the fall leaves: red, orange, yellow, and a brown. I love the tree background paper and the leaves falling from the top of the page, it screams fall to me!

Heather is my second cousin, the daughter of my oldest girl cousin, Jennifer. They asked me to take a few pictures of her to celebrate her 16th birthday, back in December 2011. Since I live so far away, we had planned for them to come up to Denton, to take the pictures, and just our luck....rain. So we went around Denton, until we found a nice covered, well lit place to take a few shots. We went up to TWU and UNT and I think the pictures turned out pretty good.
I made the pretty little paper cupcake, that we used in the picture. I wanted a prop that would be easy to make and light. I think it was a really cute way to show the reason for the pictures. When I decided to scrapbook the page, I knew I wanted it to have a cupcake theme. I had found the cute, little cupcake by recollections on the discount rack at Michaels. I decided to make another cupcake, which would be a little bigger, that was similar to the one we used in the pictures. I made both cupcakes with my doodlecharms cricut cartrige. The only difference, is this time I was able to do it all very quickly, using the cricut craft room.
