Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge! Challenge #199: All About You Use your favorite colors To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. This we were challenged to create a project, using at least 1 Cricut cut, with our favorite color. If you haven't guessed already, my favorite color is PURPLE!!! I'm not sure why I am drawn to purple, but I always have been, and tend to "collect" things in the color....clothes, pens, paper, you get the idea. The first truck I ever bought for myself, was you guess it....purple. That was actually the only requirement, LOL. I drove the wheels off that little purple Ford Ranger. For my project, I wanted to use my new Edge to Edge cartridge, so I found this great cut, that looks a bit like a modern lattice. Then I cut the title and brackets using the font from Designer's Calendar. Next I matted the pictures of the flowers my husband had bought me throughout the year (I'm a pretty lucky girl - and he knows I love purple, so he bought me sterling roes, which are purple - aren't they gorgeous?) The last thing I did was a bit of pen work using a purple Glaze pen and a purple Zig pen, put it all together and added purple paper flowers. I really love how it turned out. I don't normally do monochromatic pages, but this one turned out perfect, and now I will be able to enjoy my flowers for years to come. Materials Used: Cricut: Edge to Edge and Designers' Calender Paper: Recollections cardstock Pens: Purple Zig and Purple Glaze Other: paper flowers and rhinestone hearts from Michaels. Challenges Entered: Frosted Designs Pause Dream Enjoy Lasting Memories
