I made these super cute, zebra thank you cards for my cousin. I really love how they turned out. The combination of the purple zebra and the white is just perfect. I started by cutting the scalloped edge frame piece using my Cricut - Graphically Speaking cartridge, and stamped "Thank You" using a Recollections stamp. Next I put it all together, using the purple zebra as the background, a piece of purple ribbon, and two heart rhinestones to give them a little bling.

I won the Anything goes challenge at Marks Finest Papers/Speedy TV in their Simple Salutations Challenge.....Yeah!!!
I needed some thank you cards, so I put some together real quick. These were pretty easy. I wanted a big die cut to be the focus of the project, so I cut the flower out using my Cricut - Simply Charmed cartridge. I knew that I wanted to use the zebra paper, which always looks good, so I made a black card with the zebra and some basic white on the front. I covered the seam using some black ribbon. I finished it off with a "Thank You" stamp and outlined the outside edge of the card and flower with my white gelly roll pen. I really love how it turned out.

Wow, the last 6 weeks have been a crazy time. I have been working a lot, and as a result, just did not have time to do any crafting. I feel so behind and sad that I haven't had any time to create anything. I really do feel relaxed and ready to work when I have time to spend in my craftroom. Well I took today and tomorrow off from work to relax, and spend some much needed time hidden away from the world and crafting. It's funny, after so long away, I had a hard time deciding what to do first. I decided to make a card wth this super cute stamp set that I bought at the CK Scrapbook Convention back in Feb.
I started by cutting out all the peices using my cricut. I actually used three different cartridges, Doodlecharms, Freshly Picked, and my new one, Elegant Edges. Why oh why did I wait so long to buy Elegant Edges, I love this cartridge and all the different things that you can do with it. I'm sure it will become a staple in my collection. Next, I cut the mat and the strips of pattern paper accents for the edge of the card. Then I attached the pattern paper and accent peices to the cards. I then stamped the image, "It takes a long time to grown an old friend" to the front. I love this saying, and think that I will be able to use the card in a lot of different ways. I felt that it needed something else, so I did a little pen work to frame the sentiment. Next, I turned my attention to the packet of "friend" seeds. I outlined the packet and flower using my purple gelly roll pen, added a rhinestone center to the flower, and stamped "Friend" to the top of the packet. Now all that is left to attach all the peices. I used a pop dot to lift the flower off the packet, and use one layer of foam tape to lift the sentiment and "Friend" packet, to give some depth. I really love how the card turned out and am looking forward to giving it away to someone.

I like clean and simple design and even though this card took me a little while, with all the small peices, it was worth it. I started by cutting a big heart using the cricut so that I would have a pattern to follow. Then I cut out the small hearts using three different cricut cartridges and paper from my scrap stash. Then I attached the small hearts to the big heart, filling it in as I went. I also turned the small hearts different ways to add some interest. Next I attached the big heart to a white card. I wanted to colors to pop off the page. Then I stamped "Happy Valentines Day" at the bottom. At this point, I liked the card, but thought it needed something. So I outlined some of the small hearts in different patterns using a silver gel pen. That was just what it needed. I love this card, and think it would make a great Valentine's day gift for anyone.

I had a lot of fun makeing these cute Valentines Day cards. I found the paper flowers at Michaels and built the card around them. I started by cutting the cards and the "love" pattern paper, which is from Colorbok's Earthtones paper pack. Next I used my white gelly roll pen to add some stitching aound the edges. Next I cut a banner using Cricut Craft Room Basics which comes free when you start using the Cricut Craft Room. I stamped "Sweethearts" on the banner using a stamp by Recollections and my Brovo Burgundy ink from Stampin Up. Then I finished it by adding the flowers with rhinestone hearts as the centers. A little bling goes a long way!!!
I made a second version using pink and white flowers instead of the red and white. I like how it turned out as well :)

I got this super cute stamp set by Stampendous called Changito Dos. I don't think it is a new stap set, but it's new to me :) It has a couple of monkeys and some vines, and these cute "monkey" sayings. I really fell in love with the "I'm bananas about you!" saying and wanted to use it to make a card. I thought it would be cute as a Valentines card or just to tell someone that you care.
I started by cutting two bananas using my cricut Create A Critter cartridge and used chalk to give them some shading. I also cut the shadow out in brown so that it would pop off the green pattern paper I wanted to use for the background. Next I stamped the saying on a cream color paper and used a circle punch to cut it into a circle. Then I just put it all together. I used some foam tape to pop up one of the bananas to add a little 3D effect :)
