I am excited about Halloween this year, oh...what am I talking about, I love Halloween every year. Growing up, it was always a time that our whole family got together to play a little bit. We would always go over to my grandmother's house, because she lived in "the neighborhood", you know the one that everyone goes to trick or treat. I remember the 5 gallon bucket of candy that would be given out each year, and my grandfather taking pictuers of random kids, because their costumes were cute. I have stories, lots of them, and all of them special to me. Now that we are all older now, we don't get together as often, so the holidays, even Halloween, are that much more important.
This year, I am able to attend my cousin's Halloween party. For whatever reason, I have never been able to attend, so I'm excited to go. They always seem to have a great time. Everyone dresses up, including the grown-ups. I'm sure there will be some great photos to come of this gathering. Anyway, I wanted to give them something to say thank you for inviting me and my family and for providing a great way to spend some time together. So I made them a Happy Halloween card. It only took about 30 min to make and it was a lot of fun.
To make the card, I cut all the peices using my cricut and cut the base for the card. I wanted to make it look like the witch was flying through the night sky, so I used chalk to create the moon. It was actually a little funny, I was making it and couldn't get it quite right, when my husband came in the room and looked and just said you need to use orange. What? when did you become a crafter? He was right, I added the orange and it was perfect.
