Dallas is really into firemen and firetrucks this year, as you know from the fireman birthday party we had for his 5th birthday, just last weekend. He told me that he wanted to be a fireman for Halloween this year, so luckly my husband found this really great fireman outfit at Target, for only $20.00. He loves it so much, he asks me everyday if it is halloween yet, and he gets a little disapointed when I tell him that it isn't. So, I decided that I wanted to take a few picutes of him, so that I will always remember this time in his life. We have a really neat Central Fire Station, here in Denton. So my thought was we would go up there, and just take a few pictues in front of the fire station and maybe be able to see a few firetrucks in the back ground. Well, as we were taking pictures, a couple of firemen came out to watch and when we were done, one of them asked if we wanted a tour of the station. Dallas was so excited. I didn't know that they have a really neat museum dedicated to the Denton Fire Department. They also have a very large collection of toy firetrucks, our guide told us that they keep every single toy truck that is given to them. Then, he asked Dallas...."Do you want to go see the firetrucks?" Dallas smiled really big and said yes. They let him sit in Fire Engine no.1 (and let me take a few more pictures), then they let him "drive it" and we took a few more pictues in the front of the truck. It turned out to be a really great trip, and I have to say the guys at Denton's Central Fire Station were really cool and nice!!!
