Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge with FCCB! Challenge #95 Mix and Match Use 3 different patterns of paper Winner will receive the Funny Valentine stamp set To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used. This week we were challenged to use 3 different pattern papers and at least 1 Cricut cut. This was a bit hard for me, as I don't mix a lot of patterns, I don't feel that I am good at choosing complementary patters. So, to make this a little easier, I chose papers that matched in color more than trying to mix the pattern. The base paper has a text with blue birds. The photo mat paper is blue with a white diamond shape, then the embellishments are yellow and grey and have a light white pattern on them. Then for a pop of color, I used the yellow and green paper flowers, which some of them have a pattern on them as well. I inked the edges of all the papers, and cut the title using the Opposites Attract cartridge. The shapes came from the Disney Cars cartridge, it's the stop sign without the word. Also, you will notice a small grey piece of cardstock tucked behind the photo, this is where I hid my journaling. This project is dedicated to Miss Pam, who was my son, Dallas' daycare teacher for the last two years. It was really sad to leave her, as she is like family, but Dallas had to head off to "big boy school" and go to Kindergarten.

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!
Challenge #193
Winter Fun
Create a winter inspired project
For my project, I made a scrapbook page of my son's first school performance. It was a winter music performance with lots of Christmas carols, put on by the Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. I love, love, love this page and how it turned out, even though the picture from my iPhone is not real great.
To make this page, I cut the music notes and staff, as well as the title using the Groovy Times and Type Candy cartridges. Next I found all the pattern papers I wanted to used, and inked all the edges using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then it was as easy as putting it all together. One of my new favorite things to use is the Lines2Journal stamp set from the Stamps of Life. It makes handwriting journaling so much easier and it looks a lot better.
Congratulations to Michelle Elyse!!!

(There is a Blog Candy opportunity, so keep reading) I wanted to do something fun and youthful. I found this super cute sock monkey on the B is for Boy Cartridge, and thought that it would be perfect. I love clean and simple cards and this is that. I cut the base and the background paper and attached it, then cut out the sock monkey. I never cut out the small pieces, instead I use a gelly roll pen to color them in. I also used the gelly roll pen to add some dots and doodling to his had. I finished off the sock monkey by putting a heart brad on his chest. I thought it added a little something and showed that he was a friendly sock monkey. For the sentiment, I used a piece of scrap paper, stamped the sentiment "just swinging by to say...," did some doodling to add a border, and added a brad heart to it. I love this card because it could be used to say hello, for a birthday or other special event, to say congratulations, or whatever you wanted to say to a friend or loved one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Materials Used: Cricut: B is for Boy Paper: Making Memorise - Just Chillin Pack Ink: Stampin Up Burgandy Stamp: Stampendous - Changito Dos Stamp Set Other: Heart Brads (I think are Recollections), Black, Brown, and Red Gelly Roll Pen
